equipment in a Data Center consisting of 12 server rooms with 4

that could take up to a year to complete. We carried up to 70 tickets at a
time.

making sure the power, environment, interconnections and space were available
and in working order for all 12 consolidated server rooms. I spent 5 months

IT Engineer Manager
I was a contract
manager for the last 4 IT projects inside and outside of the Pentagon for
PENREN; 1 large building and 3 backfill areas. While doing those 4 larger
projects I managed numerous smaller projects. My mission was to follow IT
projects from inception to transition to the customer. I was central to the
resolution of conflicts between the IT contractor, the customer, the general
contract and ITA the Pentagons IT agency (USAITA). I advised the government
whether the IT contractor met the contractual obligations for payment. Our IT
projects stayed on time, never delaying the general contractors and on
budget. These projects included building Telephone Closets, installing all
pertinent IT and Telecommunication equipment, both ISP and OSP. Since PENREN
IT was closing down I was also responsible for QA/QC, making sure the
contractor met all relevant codes, NEC, TIA/EIA, BICSI, Pentagon regulations
and TEMPEST. These projects included all Electronic Security for the physical
security of the projects.
The Pentagon
Emergency Response Facility was the largest project I was involved in. I
worked on this for 4 years from initial inception, through design,
construction and transition to the customer and USAITA.

IT Engineering Manager
I was brought in by
PENREN to manage existing Outside Plant (OSP) contracts. The
government tasked me with reviewing all contracts and advice them whether
their OSP needs were being met by the contracts and whether the price was
reasonable. After the contracts were signed I managed the OSP contracts with
all relevant codes, NEC, TIA/EIA, BICSI, Pentagon regulations and TEMPEST. I
kept the projects on time and in budget.
During my time with
SMS my responsibilities increased to overall management of complete projects
including the OSP and Inside Plant ( ISP). The 911 Memorial and Center
Courtyard were the highlight of my projects. I worked on these
projects from initial inception, through design, construction and transition
to the customer and USAITA.
I was tasked with
administering the installation and maintenance of all work in the OSP arena.
I used VISIO to document all of the cables in the underground plant. In 2009
I managed the transition of the OSP to USAITA.
